Purple TIG electrode W-E3 is a general-purpose electrode for almost all materials. It does not contain thorium and is not radioactive. Its lower environmental impact compared with thoriated electrodes makes it an environmentally friendly choice. The electrode offers excellent ignition properties and durability and is suitable for direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) welding. The electrodes heat up less, which increases their load capacity and service life. This electrode is ideally suited for non-alloy and alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, nickel, magnesium alloys and copper alloys.
